Greenbends™ are Mateenbar’s stocked 90-degree L-bend GFRP rebar for residential and light commercial concrete
work. When straight bars need a turn, Greenbends are ready to place. Bends are factory formed only; field bending is
not permitted.
Manufactured in the United States and made from durable Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP), Greenbar2X® solves the challenges and shortcomings of traditional steel. It’s a high-performance fiberglass rebar that recently won the ACMA Award for Composites Excellence – Infinite Possibility for Market Growth. This rebar features a lightweight, rustproof, and UV resistant design, making transport, installation, and cutting seamless while providing maintenance-free, long-lasting dependability.
Greenbar2X® is perfect for projects like foundations, driveways, pool decks, patios, sidewalks, and more. In addition, this flatwork product is ideal for light industrial projects like single-story buildings and vertical applications 10ft high or less.

- Standard bent shapes can be special order
- Compatible with most steel bent shapes with exceptions like “Z” shapes
- Bending is factory-performed only; shapes and quantities must be specified by the contractor
- Strength reduction due to bending is factored into design specifications
Straight Bars (Greenbar2X)
- Available in standard steel diameters (#3 to #5)
- Stock lengths: 4’, 10′ and 20’
- Pultrusion manufacturing enables a wide range of diameters and virtually unlimited lengths
